new here/AMAZING deals on '05s
Hi everyone, I've visited this site often and have finally registered after buying my own 8- a new '05 Sunlight Silver/MT/ Touring. I love it so much-it is unbelievably gorgeous and fun to drive!! I got a great deal on it ($23,000 OTD, MSRP was ~ $31, 700) and just wanted to say thanks to everyone here-- after finding this forum I found out about the deals you can get on the leftover '05s (originally going to get an '06 later in the fall), called around and found one in the exact color and package I wanted! Also, wanted to let anyone interested in getting an '05 in the Ohio/W. PA area know that Classic Ford/Mazda in Mentor, Ohio (where I got mine) still has a couple new '05s- a blue and a red one, and maybe a black, (but it might have been sold). They were incredibly nice, as well as pretty desperate to get rid of their '05s as it wasn't too hard to get them down to the price I got (although I did go in to negotiate on July 30-so maybe they had a really slow month) So anyway, if you're looking in the area, definitely check them out--ask for Anthony-he was very nice and not like the typical, full of bs kind of car salesman at all. And thanks again-your posts helped me save several thousand bucks and get my beautiful 8 a lot sooner!!

It is very simple to rid your sunlight silver of the curse. While driving, simply put disc 2 of Frank Zappa "Joes Garage" into your CD player. You must put it in slot 3. Fast forward to the song "Watermelon in Winter Hay" and play at maximum volume. All this must be done while travelling 87mph at dusk. Simple as that...

becareful with the silver its cursed
I took my 8 (not silver) back to the dealer a couple of days ago to get it washed. While there, my salesman took me to the back lot to show me the aftermath of an RX-8 test drive gone bad. T-boned in the passenger door, the kind of thing that does not look survivable. But the salesman who was riding there will be OK, thanks to the side curtain air bag. Point was that the car's high safety rating worked in real life.
Need I mention that the wrecked car was silver?

HAH! I bought my silver RX-8 from Classic in late March. I saw your car...they had two when I went, and you just took home the other one.
Classic Mazda was great...very clean dealership, and they treated me with respect. Of course, I didn't get as great a deal as you did, and I'm a bit shocked they still have 05s left after almost five months after buying mine. Nice car man. I know....I have the one that was sitting next to it.
