Hey guys (and girls) I joined here today to start learning about rx8s. My girlfriend is hopefully buying one soon and I'm trying to learn things before she gets it. I just wanted to say thanks for all the good info and thanks ahead for the help. I am big into cars, so it rubbed off on her a little, so I know I'm going to be working on it quite a bit. Im excited! lol. I drive a 2005 subaru wrx with quite a bit done to it and can't wait for the 8. Oh and she'll be joining here soon.

make sure she knows how to drive 6 speed and get a 6 speed RX8....and that she is ready for big gas bills......other than that she should have fun and learn to love the 8

She is getting 6 speed and she has a Land Rover Discovery II right now so I'm sure the gas prices will be a lot better for her.

 

Oh and it's a 2004 in sunlight silver metallic. Idk exactly what packages are in it, I know it has heated seats, 6disk cd changer, and red leather seats and red in the steering wheel. It already has greddy exhaust and Weapon R intake. We're going tonight to talk to the guy.

 

2004 GT model is what you are getting, check how it starts, how it shifts, and stuff. check the engine oil and see how clean it is and how full it is, it tells u how much the previous owner care about the car. check tire pressure, check tire wear.

i'd plan to switch out the spark plugs and plug wires, get mazdatrix ignition wire or something, get ignition coil from some vendor on there, and replace all that and you should have a healthy car.
