New member (but I've met a couple of you)
Hey everyone! I'm WikkedOne's fiancé. Just got my 2004 Mazda RX8 for Christmas in Sunlight Silver. It's a GT with leather interior, Bose system and sun roof. I also added strakes as soon as I got it.
Before this amazing piece of machinery, I had a 1998 Ford Taurus, so I obviously got a pretty awesome upgrade. I'm planning to add an aero kit possibly and maybe do a little bit with the system in it, eventually.
Yesterday, we started painting all the accents on it, PINK (strakes, triangles, and badges). It's looking really hot so far, and we're finishing it up tonight.
A little bit about me, like WikkedOne, I'm also in a wheelchair, and until he and I started dating, I had NO idea how INCONVENIENT the Taurus was, when you're trying to get a wheelchair into a 4-door car that opens up normally... and let's be honest, the Taurus doesn't exactly scream SEXY. Now that I have my new 8, not only is it a really amazing car, but it's sooo much more convenient!
Anyway, just wanted to send a message out to kind of introduce myself and talk about my new car. Hope to hear from some of you soon!

THAT'S WHERE I'VE HEARD YOUR NAME BEFORE! I remember i saw you (wikkedone) at a couple of meets down here in Socal. I didn't know if it was you she was referring to or some other guy w/a similar handle. Congrats man, i didn't know you moved out there -

Yeah I'm still wondering why we decided to move from the beautiful weather out there, back to the horrible weather here in TN, but I will say that past couple of days have been nicer than out in CA. Unfortunately, CA didn't have one thing that TN does, and that's family, plus my mom would have killed me if I had stayed out there much longer than I did! haha

Welcome aboard, Pwinkie! Same setup/configuration as WikkedOne's car?
Pics of the car and the surrounding scenery BTW, it's raining in SoCal at the moment
Correction: make that snow

Ours are both pretty awesome, just in different ways. Also, our hand controls are different. His work more like a motorcycle handle, whereas mine are a simple push down for gas and forward for brakes.

Btw, we finished up the pink accents and got everything put on my car again yesterday and I must admit, personally, I think it's hot.
Pics will be posted soon!
