New member with question...
I've owned 5 RX-7's during my driving life, 2-79's, 2-80's and 1-88'. I owned the ist generation's years ago when I was a bit leaner in the loins and they were more fun than I can legally talk about. I did, however, find that the 88' was rather cramped for someone 6'4" such as myself. It was a little short in the roof for the 1st gens but it seemed to get worse through the new styles. The 93'-95's were apperently built for midgets! This brings me to the question of interior room on the RX-8. Since reviewers are rarely over 6' tall and the sales staff at the local dealer couldn't be more clueless I have no idea of the room for a tall driver. I've driven the 6s and found it to have just enough room. I need to know if the RX-8 is similar in dimension. I'm very excited about the new styling and I miss 9k shifting and corner drifting but I can't buy a car I don't fit into. Has anyone here who is tall ever sat in one yet. If so, let me know please.

There are people of your size that can sit comfortably in 8. This also depends on how big your torso is proportionally to the rest of your body.
So in other words there is a chance you could fit fine and there is a chance you won't. Just don't order the sunroof.

Try doing a search -- there have been several good threads on room for taller people. I am just under 6'3" and have sat in the RX-8 -- no problems. Others are shorter and have complained of headroom so I think a lot depends on preferred position. I also had a 1st gen and there is a lot more room in the 8.
