Hi all. I just bought my new baby this weekend. Black, GT package, chrome strakes... it's a 2005 that was a dealer demo, with roughtly 6k miles on it. Price seemed right, and I got all the upgrades that I might not have been able to bring myself to spring for.

My previous was a 924S... great little car (especially after I chipped it), but I finally realized that I lack the time, patience, work space, and mechanical skills to keep giving that beast the love it needs.

I didn't know what I wanted to do when I test drove my 8, but you all know the rest of the story...

One question for you all. This is by far the best sound system of any car I've owned, and I'm anxious to hook my iPod to it. I know, I know... search... well, I did and there's a of different products and a lot to digest (although i got through what I could)... anyone want to give me the cliff notes? I want my iPod to sit in the cupholder area, and to control it with the steering wheel/console buttons (it's on shuffle 99% of the time). Someone tell me the best adapter to buy, pls... I'm sure I could install it myself, but I may end up paying the dealer to do it just 'cause I'm ******* paranoid because this is the nicest automobile I've ever owned or driven and even one loose spring clip will drive me nuts.

looking forward to many years of obsessing about my new ride...

thanks for the link... i found that one and slogged through it, but it's a year-long thread... the OP mentions a group buy, but that has to be long over... do you know if there is a website where I can just go get one of these?

not a fan of dealer demos? The car seemed extremely well taken care of and I like the idea of letting someone else take the initial driven-off-the-lot depreciation hit (it was not a test-drive car). Regardless, this car makes my very, very happy.

Post Welcome!!!!!

Welcome, hope you find this site as informative as I do!

Your iPod question is fairly common, I don't have one, but THIS looks promising.....

Good luck!!
