new owner - picking up today

I bought an 06 Galaxy Gray Mica with GT package last week, it went in yesterday for the appearance package and 6 cd changer and should be done today. This looks like a useful club and I hope to add something to it over the years I'll own this car.

First impressions (my previous daily driver was an 02 VW VR6) are that it is extremely quick, has a nicely sound in the higher rpm range. Seems to handle pretty well but I haven't driven it hard yet and won't do so until I get passed at least 600 miles. Decent seats and sound system, love the homelink set up and keyless entry...don't like the cup holder location, gets in the way when changing gear and having the transmission tunnel run the length of the interior means the back seat can only be used for seating or small objects..the positives far out weigh the negatives....I don't really care about carrying things around in the car and I can always buy small drinks that don't interfere with my changing arm.

Can't wait to get it back

Good luck with it. Beverages are unsafe at a bucktwenty anyway.

hehe, some years ago, a friend of mine and serious gearhead commenting on my beloved Miata said that it is impossible for car manufactorers to figure out a good place to put cup holders, they always get in the way somehow...he was being facetious but it still holds true..........................................)

Hopefully I'll have a few decent pics tomorrow. I had a good experience today. Met the wife in downtown Portland after she finished work. I parked up on the street and waited outside starbucks, as I was sitting there drinking coffee two guys walking passed did a double take of the car and walked back over to it and had a closer look. I was watching all this go down and I have to admit I felt a little smug

ok took a couple of quick pics while waiting for a soccer game to start this morning at my local Irish watering hole...looks pretty good without the front license plate, don't know if I'll get away with that once my plates are ready.
