New Plugs
Hi there
My car just passed 52K km, and I've been experiencing some slow starts (2-3 turnover vs 1 sec). The car is slated to go in for an oil change.
The tech recommended that I also get new spark plugs, based on my description of the starts (this is over the phone ofcourse) and my mileage.
Sounds like it would run close to 300 CDN for the 4 new plugs and labour.
Is this something I can do easily myself and save a lot of $$?

Plugs are the easiest 120 dollar labor you can save yourself. Make sure to put some anti-seize on the threads when inserting the plugs. Also I tried to check your profile for the year but I assume you joined in 2004 you own a 2004, these had crap starters and a 2005 + starter could be found on ebay etc. Big difference.
