415. Yup, four hundred fifteen friggin miles.

Made an appointment for Monday. Oh well, at least this way I'll get the M flash.

nope there were people with less miles than that. mostly because of failed evap tests. either the gas gap wasnt tight or on early makes there was a software glitch that gave a false evap test failure.

 

Hmm.... It did come on about 50 miles after a fill up. But I'm ABSOLUTLEY certain that I cranked the gas cap on and it clicked SEVERAL times.

Any way to figure out what your build date is?

 

I think I can claim the record on this one...6 miles on the ODO and CEL light was on!

Friggin' porter forgot to completely tighten the gas cap when he filled up my RX-8 at delivery...go figure.

Flash forward 2000 miles and it's back on again. It'll be interesting to see what it is this time since I've been tightening the crap out of the gas cap every time I fill it. Luckily things have been slow at work the past week so I'll duck out of the office tomorrow to have it checked out. Stay tuned...

 

My first CEL was at about 20 miles. Dealer put cheap regular gas in it.

2nd CEL came on at 2,100 miles. Havent taken it in to find out why yet.

Is everybody sure that the CEL is supposed always be on?!??

YOu shouldnt get a CEL for 87 octane (cheap regular gas as you call it).
