New Rx-8 Owner
I've lurked these forums for quite awhile, and have been trying to decide on a car for a long time. But after enough saving I decided on the Rx-8 and got one over spring break.
It's a 2004 GT 6 SPD, with 15k miles and I've only had it for about a week but I love the 8 and am pleased with my purchase.
I researched much before I bought the 8 so I know about the "inconveniences" that people find with the rotary, personally it doesn't bother me.
Now I'm only 18 but I saved up quite awhile to beable to afford the monthly payments on this car, and personally I find myself to be a safe driver(granted the 8 may make me a little more wild).
Anyways to sum it up glad to be a part of the community, racing is stupid and I've already had people try to race me but I refuse, and go rotary

...don't all GT's come with spoilers? Did Carmax jack yours, or was that an option I didn't know about?
Either way, welcome. We need more sensible 16-20 year olds in these cars (lower our insurance). It's a fun car, so don't be afraid to push it every once in a while - just make sure it's the CAR that's being pushed, not your driving ability.
Also, please don't get high & drive (your name has me a little worried...)
Oh yeah - let us know what state/region you're in so we can keep an eye out for you on the road.
