Really jealous of the wheels and interior. Clear corners would probably look great with that paint.

noice! exterior and interior colour combo is stunning. Better than the beige in the 07s and Shinkas. Nice wheels too.

Just curious: Are the anniversary editions numbered in anyway to indicate their spot in the run of 1000 for USA?

not real sure what your talking about, the 8 is the daily the 7 is the ongoing moneypit that is under the knife and will be for another couple of years so not sure what you mean by "deciding to use an 8 over the 7" and even if the 7 were done I would still use the 8 (~$32k) over the 7 (~$62k) for a daily.

I haven't really looked into it yet, there is no "badge" that lists it as x out of 1000 and haven't checked if the vin or something else gives it a numbered place.

Welcome, let us know your impressions once you're out of break in.

And ignore Mike06; just another whiner with nothing to add.

Just an update on this, I called Mazda's Customer Tech line and they called me back about 4 days later. Apparently other than the vin number identifying the car as a 40th anniversary, there is nothing indicating what spot in the run it would have been. The answer they gave me was there was no way to tell what spot it was and the same applied to the mazda5, i think it was, special edition of which only 750 were produce for the us market. So no badge giving a number and apparently the vin numbers were not produced in a way to determain what place in the 1000 it may have held. Would be nice to know but definatly not a deal breaker.

that's interesting that the us version has no numbering. I just saw an article I found via google search that said there's a scuff plate with it engraved. I am on an iPhone now, so no cut n paste. I believe the article was on a site called www.indiacar.net

Thanks
KF

Ya i saw those too, they were refering to either the uk release or the Japanese release, where there was supposed to be a numbered engraving somewhere on the guages, sadly nothing like that on the US
