How do you feel about the 3 series? I still haven't made up my mind. I want to get either a 00-03 3 series (325, or 330) or an Rx8.

I love the E46 range. I would recommend the newest year you can afford 330.
the BMW is more luxury than the RX-8, but not as sporty in my opinion. Have to love the BMW engine, though. Be prepared to spend $ fixing things like electrical gremlins.

It will be my first car so either way I'm thinking win-win. I will be paying for it myself so I don't feel bad about getting such luxury as a first

I love the feel of the 8. Its just so sporty and looks fun to drive, and actually faster then the 330i. The interior with the racing seats and the beautiful manual gearbox looks more luxurious to me than the 3 series really. The exterior styling I kind of have a problem with.
