new rx8?!
i just recently bought a base 07 rx8..an i get a really bad ride out of it. i brought it back to the dealer an they told me theres nothing wrong with it but the rear end fells loose around turns and when i slow the car down it feels "the wheels swaying"...is there somthing i can do about this an upgrade of sorts to better the ride? any input would be really apreciated! thanks....

The RX-8 is one of the best handling cars on the road, straight stock. If your post is genuine, your dealer must be an idiot because something is obviously wrong with the car if the tires have pressure and tread.

im not sure..it tends to jerk around alot when i give it gas and on slightly bumpy roads it jumps(for lack of a better word) around alot.. is there maybe a suspention upgrade i can look into? thanks

I found RWD feels/handles different than all my FWD cars. My rear was swinging around for a while until I got a handle on it. Any chance you are just getting used to that, too? Hope it's nothing serious.

hmmm
the real problem is that ill hit a small bump in the road and the car jerks pretty bad idk if its just that the cars light an thats what im not used to that. the car just dosent feel solid. this is my third real wheel drive car so thats not the case. i live on lond island an i guess the roads arent all that but i just dont think think that a brand new car should fell like that it seems like its just gettin worse but i might just e parinoid since i put all lthat money into it.. would new springs an a rear sway bar help the stiffness and comfert of driving it? if so what springs an sway bar would be a good choice? thanks

I am going to suggest that the upgrade in question is tires. I think that the issue in question is that it is the middle of winter and in areas where the temps are as low as 40ish F or 5 c the stock tires start the day as hockey pucks causing DSC ciorrections often.
To the OP does this sound possible?
If so, a good snow tire will change your opinion.

anything but tein, ahah
i have megan racing adjustable coilovers on my 8 and i love them!
i would go with eather megan, rs*r, tanabe if you want springs,
tanabe is your best bet for springs,
but if i was to get coilovers i would go with megan, the price is cheap and the quality is awesome!
megan and apexi are the same company basically.
good luck

It might be as simple as tramlining. I was driving back to the city from brooklyn along flatbush avenue going towards the manhattan bridge and the car almost jumped out of the lane due to the deep ruts in the pavement. It scared the crap out of me the first time it happened and I thought the power steering might be bugged, but now that I know to expect it on uneven roads I just keep a firmer grip on the wheel. On roads with decent pavement I can drive in a straight line forever without even touching the wheel.

And on topic. My two guesses, which have already been stated are that the tires are the stock summer tires which suck in anything below 35-40 degreess farenheit. The other is the tramlining. Basically the tires follow the indentions in the roads surface. The stock tires have a very stiff sidewall which contributes to this. I have T1-Rs on now and it has definitely lessened, but is still there.

Not to get off topic, but what is wrong with Tein. I used to have the Tein S-tech and now have Tein-CS. Never had one problem with either. I also had Megan and they were good quality too. Just a little too stiff for me as I don't do any track driving.
