New rx8 with front end damage need ideas and help
I just bought a red 2004 Rx8 (35k miles) for real cheap. The things I need are
-Front bumper
-Hood
-Passenger fender
-xenon headlight, passenger side
-May need some work with A/C need to see if I can fix the problem the cover has some holes in it.
-A new tire =(
The car is in near perfect condition besides the fact the lady seriously must have hit every curb in town with EACH rim lol. I got this from her because she wrecked it and due to some consequences couldn't drive it for 3 years.
I might put a body kit on it. I am really undecided because the car already looks so good. I don't want to ruin it. I may also get a carbon fiber hood, but yet im still undecided. I don't plan on getting rims or anything the car is so fast and so nice, I probly won't drive anything besides 8s for the rest of my life. These cars are perfect inside and out.
What do you guys think I should do? Normal, or unique?

That would cost a ton, I like the carbon fiber hoods though. I wish I had my fiances camera..... I was thinking about getting some parts from ED, but it seems like that is a really bad choice. I can get the parts, shipping is what will kill me (ky is really far from cal). I found some replica raven body kits on ebay for 500 (shipped). Not sure if they will be worth my time or money from what i have read around here.

i would hit up ebay. try to VR parts already and they should match pretty damn well. i swapped trunks with someone else (different year too) to get rid of my spoiler. perfect match.

I did the same thing a couple of months ago...my dad had a shop so I only paid for parts...but I bought my car straight from an auction. Anyways I had just about the same damage as you. The parts were so expensive that it turned out cheaper to buy a front end at the junkyard...So I had to spend about 3k on parts and only used like 1/3 of what I bought. Good luck but it might get a little pricey, especially labor dude, thats alot of labor.

The labor won't be an issue I am doing it myself and getting a little help on the side for things that will be more difficult from freinds for free. Also getting it painted at a reasonable price privatley outside a shop. Well I priced the fender- 250, the bumper 400 (600 for carbon fiber), found headlight from 250-500, tire is 195 and the A/C unit is 185. I wish I could find a junkyard with an RX8 lol. I ask and get laughed at and realized it is a crazy question to ask.

I considered getting a body kit and all since I had to replace the bumper...but stock wheels look garbage with body kits...u get a body kit and u gotta get new wheels and u gotta drop the car too...IF u want it to look good...thats like 4k in parts. Anyways good luck. Look on ebay for the xenon light I got mines for like 380 or something. I have a stock airbox and a non hid light and some of the foglight assembly things (not complete) let me know if u need anything or have any questions.

I was looking at getting the headlight from Ebay. It has been the biggest pain because it retails around 1k. So I have found it from 250-400. The quality is a huge issue with those.
Never thought I would find you on here Arune! Your car looks amazing and I agree I shouldn't rice it up I may just keep it stock. I don't think in the situation I am in I need to add performance parts. I filled my 8 up for the first time and have to admit, using premium=no fun. The car is worth it though.
The tire has a small bubble in it (waiting for a blowout) not knocked off. I am getting it replaced today (potenza tires = expensive) It has minor frame damage on the front that effected nothing. I am going to get help to pull it out. We checked the overall frame and it looked great inside and out an I had two very experienced guys (working on cars all their lives and can fix and do everything on every car if you give them time) both told me it was a steal for the price and I could part it out for more than I paid!
