New RX8 Owner
Hey every1, I'm new to the club and a new owner. I've been checking threads for a few months now jst 2 see what u all had/have 2 say about the RX-8. I was gonna get 1 regardless of what any1 said, but I wanted 2 know what I was getting in2 of course. I am happy 2 say that u all were unanimous in how fun and great the RX-8 really is and u all were 100% accurate, so u have my thanx in making my decision easy and right. I had a Protoge5 for 4 years, and as happy I was with that car, it was no RX-8. I picked her up last Tues. and (pardon the pun) I've been Zoom-Zooming around in her 2 get the feel of what she can do. Unfortunately I don't have any pics yet as with Winnipeg covered in snow its hard 2 keep her clean for a pic, but I will get some soon and post them. But I do have a question if any fellow Canadians in the club see this, where can I get the clear side markers so I don't have the "Xmas tree look"? Well talk 2 u all later!

Thankx
Hey guys thankx 4 the warm welcome! As for the car......I got the demonstration model from the owner of the dealership itself so @ least I know the car was well taken care of, (especially since he is big on the Tuner scene and drifting)! As far as what's under her hood, well:
She's a '07 Brilliant Black, and has a few MazdaSpeed performance parts such as, front and rear bumper kits with rotary crests, cold air intake, cat-back exhaust, 2 sets of rims (1 set with snows & 1 set with summers), off-white leather interior, tinted windows and spoiler. Total price after tax, (in Canadian) $45,000.
As for mods, yeah I plan on doing some, however not right away as my daughter comes first, but when I can......oh man!!!!!

Yep that's pretty much the truth... Lots of threads scattered throughout the forum on these issues but I observe about 15 mpg city/22-24 mpg highway and add about a quart of oil roughly every 1500 miles.

Hi everyone! I am also a new 8 owner and I love it. I had people trying to talk me out of getting it but they didn't stand a chance. I found the car on a web-site and had it shipped to VA from TX. It's an '04 and only had 24K miles on it...it is loaded, minus the Navigation System but being a woman, I don't have a problem asking for directions when needed. LOL kidding!!
Speaking of which, it seems there are not many females on this page so please be gentle boys! I don't know much about cars except how to fill up the tank and drive fast...so I may ask stupid questions...LOL
