New Shinka in Town
Hello!
Just bought a 06 snowflake white shinka...
I'm excited as its my first RWD. Coming from turbo cars, i'm missing the power, but love the way this car handles.
Anyway...just saying hi.

Welcome to the club. Just bought my 2006 Copper Red Shinka on 5/29/09. Found out thru some searching only 1500 Shinkas were made, 375 split between 4 colors. Mine is production #890 made on 3/20/06.

Fixed....Mooz-mooz-I think I may have posted what you are referring too. IIRC, I don't believe I was positive about the actual color numbers. Just want our new comer to start on the right foot.
BTW......Thank you for searching, seriously. Most dont.

Your car is apparently 2 days younger than mine...I'm apparently #806 made on 3/18/06.

^ Congrats, and I agree; white looks great on an RX-8. You rarely see them, the color shows off the car's lines, and really makes the 8 look like an expensive, exotic car.

They might be. I got them with a set of work wheels. They have wheel locks.
They also make the car faster as they weigh ounces less than factory lugs.

Oh I don't know for sure yet.
I guess the plan would be a part time track car that is a dd 8 months out of the year. I'm thinking about just driving it until this winter, and then maybe starting with a few bolt ons and suspension.
Its funny how difficult it is for me to pick an exhaust considering it doesn't do much

Hey, was wondering where you identified the production # and date manufactured. Bought my '06 Brilliant black SHINKA by chance when I was shopping for '8's and it had just been dropped off. The first and last SHINKA my dealership has ever seen. Will have pic's soon.
