I think the tail lights look great, I wish I could say the same about my 03 Accord, now that car needed some aftermarket treatment, I used to squint me eyes when I looked at her rear!

I don't know of any aftermarket brands out yet, although you might want to try apc. I think a new car model has to be out a few years before they start manufacturing parts like this.

I agree with that, I had some APC Carbon fiber Headlights and you could not get the lights aligned and the back of the light where it holds the bulb was so cheap it broke off changing the bulb I had to weld the bulb in. Luckily the buld never went out on me, I feel sorry for whoever bought that car.... There is a reason why you could pick up APC parts at most Discount Auto Parts....

I loved the factory tinted one's on my 91 RX-7 R1, thought they looked trick. I do like to one's on my wife's new Titanium 8, also, but not as much as my 7's.

![Question](https://www.rx8club.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Since it doesn't seem there are any aftermarket options yet, has anyone tried painting their tails with a red translucent paint? I don't know if it's possible to paint them from the inside, but even from the outside w/ a clearcoat over it might work. I've seen this done to the Evo with it's tail lights and it came out nicely. I think it might look good on the RX-8 too. I did an inexcusably bad Photoshop to get an idea of what it might look like.

Don't get me wrong, I think the tail lights look great as they are. I'm just curious as to what they would look like red, as some have said that the stock lights are a little bit busy for their tastes.
