New Trans Time - Looking for best deal

Well guys,

With every sports cars, there's good time then bad times. Unfortunately for me, right smack in the middle of unemployment, my car is in desperate need of a new trans. Its still driving and shifting okay, but at speeds over 30mph, I can hear the trans whining like a supercharger over my JL system and volume 30. My all metal Greddy shift know heats up within 15 minutes. And at speeds under 10mph no matter what gear im in you can hear the trans grinding and can feel it grinding as the shift **** vibrates. I topped off the fluid, it has fluid for sure, just something is fataly wrong.

Just FYI, my car is a 2004 6 speed GT RX8 with 78K miles that has endured "spirited" driving its entire lifetime.

Now, I found a wholesaler in Greenbay wisconsin who will sell me a transmission with 30K miles on it with a 1 year warranty for $700. Im posting here today in hope that someone has a better deal for me. Im in a tough spot right now with NO DISPOSABLE cash at all and my car is about to leave me stranded.

My Zip for shipping is 60002 and my number is 847.366.7206, feel free to text me my name is Chris.

Also, my diff sprung a very bad leak where the driveshaft meets the diff, it leaks all its fluid out within a week so I have to keep crawling under there to top it off. So my diff may need replacement as well if anybody wants to quote me a price on that. The same wholesaler in wisconsin quoted me $200 for the diff

Im really hoping someone here can work with me and my situation, Im also open to the possibilty of financing the parts, someone help me out.

Thanks RX8club

Sincerely,

Chris-Renesis07

either that or you could find a mechanic that offers really good rates that would allow you to finance the labor.

my car feels like its going over a rumble strip when going under 15 mph because the trans is grinding so bad. It bangs into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Only goes into reverse 50% of the time, the rest is a battle with grinding. Its leaking out the output seal by the quart.

Itll cost maybe 200 bucks less to rebuild, might as well replace it.

When I pull it off my car, Im going to put it up for sale on here as a rebuildable trans case. Probably ask $200 bucks for it. (and Im going to use that $200 bucks to fix my differential which is leaking )

My car picked a bad time to fall apart.

Yea, this all just started happening right as I was getting off unemployment. It just sucks that everything is breaking at once. But I guess its better than being nickeled and dimed to hell, might as well fix it all NOW lol.
