New Updated Service Bulletins on Battery

Im wondering how long my battery warranty is if I got that pre-order service that some of us got? Look here for update. But not my answer...

Not sure on your warranty question. Did you check out the warranty booklet?

Regarding the new TSB, it looks like they changed the battery part # from 0000-80-MT35-WB (Interstate battery) to 0000-80-6535-WB (dunno what this is?).

Ok but can I just walk in the dealer and just get a new battery or what? It says all the 04/05 are applicable but how do u get a new battery and why should I even worry??

To some degree, it depends on the customer service policy of the dealer.
If you have problems starting your car, e.g., slow cranking, the dealer will likely replace the original battery with the recommended replacement. If you just ask to have the battery replaced without some sort of problem, the dealer will most likely NOT replace it. Of course, you can purchase the recommended battery--the Interstate MTP-35--yourself for about $70.

EDIT: I see that the new service bulletin has a different part number than the Interstate battery cited in the first replacement battery service bulletin, so the new battery may be a different unit.

Had a couple of slow cranking occurences. Took it in to the dealer. They "checked" the battery as good. Did not replace. I guess it has to die before they replace it.

Yeah, like I said, it depends somewhat on the dealerships' customer service policy. Even with a dead battery, some will charge it and do the check to verify that it is "good". Which, unless it has a shorted cell, will most likely check out as a good battery.
