New Year's Eve
Drove from Dallas to Louisiana east on I-20 and was a part of a convoy that consited of a black Honda Civic, a Ford F-150, a gold bling bling caddy, a Mazda 6, a BMW 5 series, a Chevy HHR and my RX8. We were traveling at a little over 100 mph for about an 80 mile stretch. It was the best fun I've had in a long time. I quickly learned to appreciate my 8's stability and eagerness to rev. even higher and go even faster. It was like it was begging me to push it. At 100 mph it didn't miss a beat. My passenger was afraid though. I told him that I HAD to drive this fast sometimes in order to free the carbon from my rotors... He didn't buy that. The car is stable, able and willing. The exhaust was a tad on the buzzy side though, but I ignored it and just listened to that rotary whine.

To all the people trying to make fun of him..meh. It REALLY is fun, to maintain high speeds, for an extended period of time. You really come to appreciate just how planted those tires are.
In the Mustang..oh god. It feels like its going to fling me off the road aboe 80mph, the steering gets floaty, etc..
That, and, it doesn't sound like its going to die, when held at 5000+rpm for a long, long time
