newbe saying hi

Hi from a newbe in Massachusetts. I got my new red 8 on Friday. Got an ok deal (invoice + free washes) but the dealer is 2 miles from the house so it's ok. so far the car has been great. My fife says it's my mid life crisis car. We started off looking for a car with good gas mileage (my Dodge ram gets 12mpg). Figure that one out. So I get to keep my truck and we have a summer car too! I have some questions but will post then in the proper forums.

Thanks
Bob

Crapy weather up here so I don't any pics yet. I got the A/T Touring package (wife doesn't like leather) with the ground affects package, in dash 6 cd changer, rear wing spoiler and spair tire kit. I plan on dressing the outside up a bit with the stock chrome accessories (fathers day gifts!).

Very nice!

I envy your spare tire kit - I coulda used one a few months back. The goo doesn't help when a big screw is stuck in your sidewall (but an even bigger screw does, lol).

I have the cloth seats too. I picked 'em for the better grip. The things are like velcro in corners

Welcome, well I hope you didn't buy the 8 for better gas mileage. Don't be surprised if it dosen't do much better than your truck. Although you have a A/T so it may do better.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Wurmfirst, that's funny. I didn't get it for the mileage. That's why my wife says I'm going through a mid life crisis. all the cars that get good mileage don't look all that good. we decided to bite the bullet and get something we love to drive.

I'm around, but mostly driving south from Spfld to Enfield, CT. Keep an eye out for an all-black w/a factory wing and blacked-out windows. I keep it near the speed limit for sanity's sake...

I wholeheartedly agree with you! You sure made the right choice with the 8. It's the sophisticated buyers sportscar.

Congrats! My wife's exact quote was, "What is this, your third midlife crisis?" (the first two being my WRX and GSR)

Thanks guys. I got the red A/T (so my wife can drive it) with the Touring package. No mods yet, I've only had it for a week now. 5 of those days it was back at the dealer getting touched up.
