Newbie here, and I gotta ask the question...

WoW, I gotta say, I did not expect this reception afterwards! I spoke to the dealer salesman today. He called indignant over the fact that I wqas supposed to be there Saturday am. He actually called to bust my *&*%& over promising to be there and not showing up! Well, I let him go on for a bit and then politely pointed out how long he was in his sales meeting.
Game over, shut your mouth. He appologized over and over and told me he needed me to tell his sales manager about it. Imagine losing sale for that reason?
I am almost sorry that I didn't take the test, especially in light of what Miss said, but I think I made the right decision.

OK... being an FD lover for 5 years (rx-7 for those not familiar)... i was never fond of the 8 until about 3 months ago. I needed a new car and I start researching. The 8 has a structure that is ridiculously uncommon in cars. Most cars A-pillars and B-pillars are usually in the same place (including that g35 of urs)... the B-Pillar of the 8 is in the suicide door... the freakin drivetrain is in the middle of the car. Fact of the matter is, the structure is not only crazy but ingenious... it is the type of car that was created by a Mad Scientist.... because although it can have problems.... if it is ever hit... unless it was hit by a plane.. it is invincible ... in terms of starting....
So yes.. the 8 is sporty, unique, pretty fast, and fun.... unless u want something with a ridiculous amount of torque (ooo.. like a supra... or a gto)... this is definitely a great car.... but b4 u start asking all of us our opinions.. go test drive it... i have yet 2 c a person who doesnt smile when driving the car.

If you are looking for a fast car, get a Mazda Speed 6 which my brother got about 1 week ago. The turbo is a bit small but what ever, better than nothing I guess. If you are looking for looks, go with the RX-8. I would actually get the Mazda Speed6 but unfourtounetly my brother beat me to it so I decided on the RX-8. He also had an FC (second gen RX-7). I would have got that before the RX-8 but still I love the 8!

Congrats on the new car! It's shame you didn't drive the 8, but I fully understand not wanting to drive any Mazda after service like that, as the same thing happened to me with Audi. Have fun with the LGT.

Congrats on the LGT. As many others have said... it's a better car than the MS6. Not just the MS6, but Mazda's (except the RX-7) have a pretty poor aftermarket. The MkV GTI already has several flash tuning options available. The new Mustang too. LGT and STi... How about the Mazda6? Mazda3? RX-8? Definitely not the MS6. You made the right choice.
