Post News from WA.

For those who's cars arrving at Port of Tacoma, here's some update. The vessel Pacific Leader has arrived and started unloading this morning. I went there earlier and saw them unloading Mitsu's Lancer and Evos (there are bunch of them). Around 11am they start unloading Mazda cars, including the MPV and the RX8. Saw couple of them (reds and yellows) driving off the ramp, they are awesome.
That's abt it.

P.S. Here's the Pacific Leader...

I just got back from the port I was standing within feet of our cars and shot quite a bit of video. I'll get some of it up as soon as I can, probably later this weekend. They are even better looking in person. And quite frankly, it doesn't matter which color you picked, they all look awsome. I waited to make sure I got video of every color. Red and Black were the most predominent followed by Titanium, Silver, Yellow, Blue and Green. That's a quick sampling of what I saw. The Port Operations Mananger from Mazda was kind enough to let me (and my girls) come down and watch. I shot the video following their lunch break. I took video from about 1 to 1:30. They will be done by 3. All I can say is THEY"RE HERE!!!!

The only car that I could get close to was the black car that you see parked in the video. The vin ended 0438. Did a search, but it doesn't appear to be one of the VINs that has been run. I took a picture of it so if ibfubar wanted to run it, we could see where it was going. The car had run out of gas. Once they put a little bit more fuel in it, it started right up and off it went.

Drove by Port of Tacoma earlier today, and saw the big Mazda building, but couldn't see any of the RX-8's. They were probably blocked by some of the railroad cars between the road and the lots. I actually drove up to the mazda building -- right past where 3rotor was standing when he took the video. I was hoping to catch a glimpse, but alas no such luck.

Guess I'll have to wait until Friday or Saturday.

I thought that Port Hueneme was inside/next to a military base. The Army would not take kindly to someone video taping anything on their borders.

Navy, not Army. The word "Port" is the real clue here. ;-) Sorry bout da jab; I'm an ex-Navy guy.
