I basically sold an 8 this past weekend. I was parked at the grocery store, and came out to find a middle aged man looking it over. He was waiting for the owner to come out. I informed him that it was my car, talked to him for about 15 minutes, gave him the nickel tour, at the end of which, he said he would have to go visit the dealer and pick one up. Seems that he had been wanting one, but wanted to talk to an owner first.

 

My first big compliment was from one of my step-daughter's friends who came by the house to pick her up and as he was standing at the front door, he's like..."Who's RX is that?"
I asked if it was a good thing, he started nodding his head up and down like a bobble-head and said "YES, it's a very good thing!"
I showed it to him and he was impressed. Once my step-daughter saw it inside, she was like, if that car was a person, I'd "do" it.
At the gas station, I had a guy come up and say that he looked at it, but his wife wouldn't let him get it. At first I thought he was in a new Camery, which isn't a bad "family car" but when I got a second look, it was one of the larger Lexus' new sedans. I showed him the car seat in the back for my son, and also the freestyle doors. I didn't have the heart to tell him he could have bought an RX-8 and probably a Harley too for what he paid on the Lexus!
Since then, more of the kids that my step-daughter went to school with have seen the car and they all go nuts over it.
