Nitpick 02: nav system controls

The controls are closer at hand but compared to others I've used they are too close--you can't read the buttons without taking your eyes completely off the road. Yes they'll be memorized with time but I'd still prefer them just below the display.

The control **** has a sloppy feel as well. Others have commented it's easy to push it in the wrong direction. Although it offers less input options, I prefer a rotating **** with detents so you know when you've input a signal, and you push to enter. It's very fast to use because if you know you want the third letter, you can spin the **** three clicks and they system will buffer that until it catches up.

Touch screen input (like Acura) is neat but not practical while driving because you have to constantly look at the screen to see which button you want. Manual inputs allow you to do it by feel and glance at the screen when you have time.

The main joystick unit is pretty easy to go in the wrong direction, but besides that the system is far better then most in other cars. Please refer to the DVD NAV thread already started weeks back and feel free to post further issues there. I originally was disappointed with the NAV, but after hashing through some stuff on this thread/forum I give it a solid 8.5-9.0 out of 10.
