No Beep????

I know this has probably already been posted and i just relized it the other day. When i test drove the 8 i got it up to about 8500 and i heard the beep sound or a wining sound because of that RPM warning thing. Now that i have pushed my car a few times i realized that there is no beeping sound. Its not very necessary for me but i do find it as a pretty cool feature.

Not really, it's a 75db 1500Hz tone. The level is preset. All the other warning tones in the car (headlight on, key reminder etc) use the same buzzer, but they are set at a lower level....67.5db.

Having said that, if you throw enough money at it, someone will come up with a solution......

If your shift buzzer isn't working, I would definitely take it in to be fixed.

The Rotary motor is so smooth, it is difficult to know when you are approaching redline just by listening to the motor. This is the main reason for the buzzer in the first place.

Of course you can watch your tach, but this isn't always easy if you are revving to 9000 rpm's, especially if it is in a corner and you are keeping your eyes on the road!
