No more phantom blue?

No more phantom blue?
Just for the hell of it, I was constructing an 07 RX-8 on the mazdausa website. Phantom blue is no longer on the list of color choices? Did I miss something?

Winning blue looked awesome, but was wayyyyyyyy too flashy for my taste. It's almost like you're asking for people to just stare at your car when you go by, which I think is one of the main reasons that Mazda got rid of the Yellow. It's way too flashy.
The new Stormy Blue, though? Freakin BEAUTIFUL!!

Winning Blue was definitely a flashy color, but without being stereotypically so. Red and yellow are too obvious and the other colors are just boring on a stick. I saw a Honda Fit the other day in a Winning Blue-ish type color and was staring at it like I wanted it to have my children.
Oh well, I guess they can just introduce another 6 shades of gray and call it a day.

And this is a problem how?

Drive a Z06 or Viper, and people will stare........rightfully so. But drive a $25000 car with an insane amount of eyecandy with nowhere near the performance and it just doesn't look right. My opinion.

I don't think a dollar value should have a bearing on whether or not a vehicle deserves a 'look'. As so many have already said, the 8 draws attention because it is unique. Out here in Colorado you see the same BMWs and Audi's, 350Zs, and Subarus over and over and over and over; The 8, regardless of cost, grabs peoples attention.
In my opinion, winning blue is the perfect balance between the horrendously flashy reds and yellows, and the painfully boring greys, whites, turquoise, etc. I can stand black. But that is kind of boring as well. All of course IMHO

LMAO I sure don't know where you get teal from. I own a phantom blue and only in the very early morning or evening does the teal color show and only parts of the car at certain angles does it come thru clearly. Ya'll been looking at the crappy pics on the mazda site.
OH, was I supposed to trash everyone else color choice too? "NOT"

The name of the color is alluring, it sounded COOL. Unfortunately it does look like Teal and I was disgusted by it.
Don't take things so personally. Color choice is based on one's opinion and what they like. I do not like this color, but I also dislike the old discontinued nordic green too. If everyone liked the same exact things, we'd all be driving the same car in the same color, and that would be far worse scenario.
If anything, you can fault me for buying a "bland" silver, though I have to admit it's damn easy to keep clean
