No problems, only joy
Reading messages on this forum, I sometimes get the feeling that I'm the only RX-8 owner who hasn't had any problems with his car. No check engine light, no warm A/C, no flooding (knock on wood!), no poor gas mileage. As I passed 8000 rpm last night on the way back from a little country jaunt, the only thing that troubled me was the fact that it was Sunday night and the weekend was ending too quickly.

Actually i love my car....their is so much about it that is absolutely amazing. It seems like theres no respect for this car, people only bring up the negatives and over look the ingenious engineering that makes up this car, its truely one of a kind. thats why i bought it. So what theres poor gas mileage, we knew that when we bought the car. As for power....well we all test drove it and liked it so you can't complain about that cuz it didnt change after you bought it, and flooding can easily be avoided BY JUST NOT SHUTING YOUR CAR OFF COLD, its not that big of a deal....i look forward to driving my baby everyday

While I had (2) CEL's, the reflash back in February took care of them. There has been nothing else that has been any type of an issue. I am getting better mileage than what I budgeted.
The engineering is obvious. We are blessed to own such an incredible Sports Car.

No problems here, though at three weeks old and 900 miles in, I wouldn't expect any. My experience on the VWVortex site was basically the same. There are basically a few types of posters: those who have a problem and want it resolved, those who help OTHERS resolve problems, those who bitch and complain about every little thing that crops up, and out-and-out enthusiasts, who love their cars so damn much that they can't keep from talking about it.
If you don't fall into one of those categories, odds are you're not going to be posting too much. If you love your car, aren't **** about it, take care about it behind the scenes and aren't an enthusiast, you read but don't post.

No problems with somewhere in the low 9000 mile range and about almost 10 months of ownership. I took it in for the recalls and a new oil pan (the baffle problem). No real problems though. It's a great car.

No problems here either, just pure joy of owning this car. The wekend definitely ended too quickly, I take the car out every chance I get, who cares about the gas mileage, I didn't buy it because I want to save a few bucks on gas......hell we spent over 30K thats just the way it is!!!!

No problems here either. After 1100 miles, I haven't even needed to put oil on the engine yet. I guess buying in 2004 prevented me from all the recalls, whatever m flashes are, the vehicle not going on 6th, etc, etc. This car is just great.

I LOVE my car, not just like it, not just think it's fun to drive, I truly love this car!!! I think the internet is a love/hate thing for me. I like having all the information you guys provide about problems you're having but at the same time it takes a little bit of the fun away when I find myself checking for all these little things, "do I have cracks in the buttons", "windshield crack", "is my air conditioning working properly"... you get the idea.... the only thing I really stress about at all is the flooding. I've turned the car off a couple times while having driven it for less than a couple of minutes, the engine was still warm from the last time I drove it so I crossed my fingers and so far I've been fine but I'm not pushing my luck too much. I have yet to see anyone post about any problem that would make me not want to keep this car. This car is my baby!!! :D :D :D :D :D
That commercial with the guy hugging the 8 and the doors closely on him, that's me except I'm not a guy.....
