No start, no click, no nuthin
When I turn the key to start, it won't turn over, no click or anything.
It'll start maybe 1 out of 30 or 40 tries of turning the key.
It'll push start, it'll start if I send power to the blue/red starter trigger wire under the hood.
I tried swapping out the starter switch with no success.
Same issue with both keys.
Any ideas what the problem could be?

“Whale-oil-beef-hooked”
I had that happen to me with an old 4*4 way out in the bush. Long walk out to discover such a simple problem.
“Simple” ones are hard to discover sometimes.
Replaced the switch with a hidden toggle switch. Saved the truck from being stolen another time.

Just replaced fuel pump ....
I have a 2009 rx8 automatic and I had it towed to a Mazda dealership again. It died on me while i was driving it. I waited til the next day to move it. It came on and it idled real rough and smoke came out of pipe and then It would not crank anymore but the lights still worked. I was told it had bad gas in it and they had to take it out and put $20 worth of fresh gas in it before they could do further diagnosis-In September 2020 I just had a new fuel pump put on-I was told today I need a new fuel pump sending unit. My question is would that part prevent the car From starting?
