No trunk space? Pfft, the RX-8 has PLENTY of space!

The wheels I had with my snow tires mounted on them for my last car (Honda Civic Si) did not fit the RX-8, so I had to buy another set of wheels. Once I got them I somehow had to get all of the wheels to a shop a few miles away. No one was home to help me and the friends weren't picking up their phones so I took measures into my own hands.

What you're about to see is 8 wheels and 4 tires all in my RX-8. It was a bit of a pain to get them in there, but I used any and all sheets/towels/my own coat I could find in the garage so that the wheels wouldn't damage my seats or any other part of the interior.

Pardon the quality but they're cell phone pictures:

The Si wheels (with tires mounted) are wrapped in blankets so they wouldn't damage anything. Yes I know those are cute sheets.

After all was said and done, the back of my car was lowered a good inch and a half to 2 inches. Needless to say it looked pretty sexy and makes me want to buy some lowering springs for it!

Well done. And yes, the real challenge isn't getting all that stuff into the car—it's doing it without f*cking up the interior.

nice work man! one time I bought a 3-step folding ladder and thank goodness the panel in the center of the rear seat was removeable... I was able to transport this sucker home:

I have to credit the people that designed the ladder, too. They made it foldable into a telescope shaped tube! Simply amazing.

It's not the size of the trunk... it's the opening of it.

Fabulous work at fitting them all in. Best I've done is four mounted rims and tires. You beat me by a mile

I doubt I would have been able to make this thread. I probably would have been missing my head.

I wouldn't be able to do that because I'm to tall to sit that close to the steering wheel, I won't be able to lift my foot off the clutch all the way

What size were those wheels you put in? I tried to fit 4 OEM 18" rims, and 4 18" snow tires separately (taking them to shop to mount), and I couldn't do it! I can't even get more than one 18" tire into the trunk
