In before the lock bookends.

I have never worked on any car I've owned extensively like I have worked on my girlfriend's 04 rx8. It isn't terrible to work on though. It was pretty easy figuring out what is what and I actually preferred to work on it as opposed to working on my 05 lancer. People only give owners of this car a hard time because they read on facebook that rotary engines are stupid; therefore, their opinion is that the rotary engine is stupid and so is the rx8. I think people should stop hating and look at the more concerning issues with the world...like PT Cruisers being a thing.

gwilliams6 posted a link that contained several sentences directly refuting what you said, and you didn't even address those points.
For example, one point was that a one-third holding constitutes a controlling stake under Japanese law. That alone means Ford had the ability to control Mazda with a 33.4% stake, which eviscerates your claim that Ford didn't control Mazda while it had that stake. All you did in response was repeat things you had already said, none of which was relevant.
You'll have to excuse me if I decline to accept your assessment of my argumentative skills.

I love the car and what it stands for but, there are things that could have been done to promote it more and sold more cars but, Mazda did not do so. I put this thread out here so that people could contribute ideas and not ideals.
Some of you want to lock the thread but, this is your opinion as many on here have brought up other issues and, there are more to come. Attacking me with something you do not understand and cannot seem to understand is useless.
Any moderator on here that is thinking of locking this thread is doing so out of opinion and not facts. If any mod on here is a stockbroker/investor and deals with stocks, as I do and, can prove any of what I am saying as incorrect, I am all ears.
I deal with Edward Jones and Scottrade and have not been corrected on my knowledge of stocks and trading by the professionals, yet.
Please keep the thread open and let people voice their opinions on Mazda and the 8 as, aftermarket people still have improved parts for our cars and can benefit from the info posted.

There are many out there. When I get mine on a dyno, will send you one, if you want. Not sure when that will happen but, remind me and will do so. You can go to dsmtuners and see many of them. The shootout had tons of them there running 11s and faster.

I, simply, stated that, people stopped buying the cars due to issues that had to do with quality and parts that were, in my opinion, cheap and could have been done better to keep visits to the dealer lower.
Many people know how to or, have the money to fixed some of the issues but, many do not. The car is not all that hard to work on but, if you are working on it a lot, means you are not driving it. That is not fun.
Currently, my door switch went out so, it will do nothing, right now. Also, either the pressure switch for the accelerator assembly is going out or, the throttle body motor is not working as it should. If I press on the accelerator, the throttle body does not start to open til I have it pressed about 1/3 the way down.
I am not sure if anyone else has this issue but, the tell-tell sign is a really bad hesitation if you press the accelerator quickly and, it wants to die and may or may not catch unless you let off the accelerator.
I hope, to get a radiator for it, TB, AA, and will have to get the door switch fixed before anything. It will not even turn over at this point due to being in 'stolen mode'. I have 131k miles and hope to put that much or more on it over the years.

Three possibilities:
1. I just can't wrap my head around it, and nor can anyone in this thread but you.
2. You're doing a bad job explaining it.
3. You're actually the one missing the point, not me.
Or maybe some combination of the above.
I leave it to the others reading this thread to decide.
