I just got home from school, disgustingly hot day, and I pulled up in my driveway and I revved the car to about 4k and the exhausts make a popping noise I kinda like it, and I dont think its bad, but just to make sure...?

you are one of the most worried, neurotic people I've ever seen on this site regarding their RX-8. Your car has only like 500 miles on it. Trust me, your car is fine.

yes it's OK. when it's real hot, the car can pop at idle and what not. if I keep revving the car from idle to 4K, I can make it pop easy.
when it's really really cold, your car will pop when the engine is just starting to idle cold.

love the pops....
drive the car till its all warmed up...make a quick stop (like at a gas station for a soda) start the car and immediately rev it to 5-6k, it'l pop like 30 times!
work that stock cat outta there and flames shoot out!
funny.. my old FC 7 didnt do the pops like the 8...

You're like the woman with the newborn baby, who calls the doctor 15 times a day whenever the baby hiccups or the baby's **** is a different color (green instead of brown), to the point where the doctor has to change their number.
Same principle.

Jesus, lay off the guy. If you don't like him asking questions, don't come in here and post. The same e-thugs in here giving you **** about searching, posting old topics, etc. would be the same **** to flame you if you came in here bragging like an idiot about, "omg, just discovered my car can shoot fire if I bounce the limiter enough!".
Don't like it? Don't look. This ain't Offtopic.com for crissake, keep the unfounded hate to a minimum.

This is an open forum, man. If you don't like what we say, then get off.
Oh, and I'm not just commenting on this post. Alamo has started 3 or 4 different threads in the past week or so which all could have been answered using the search button or looking in his owner manual. His car only has 500 miles on it, and he's scared to death that it is going to die any minute.

Alano,
Don't take the insults personally, as for your paranoia it's understandable. You dropped allot money on a new car and want to make sure everything is OK. Just be forewarned the paranoia gets worst once you start modding it, then every noise makes you nervous. This site can be your best friend just ensure you do some diligent searches first and post new questions in existing thread if possible even if they are old. Enjoy your new car.
