Nose Mask Installed
#26
I am waiting on the bra I ordered ($70 used twice!!!) and am looking forward to using it for my 250 mile trip to and then from every friggin' weekend. I have a ridiculous amout of rock chips from the short amount of driving I've done. So I'm really looking forward to getting it. Just wanted to throw my two cents in. About the Mazda Survey thing, tell them for saying that the can fornicacte themselves with a streetlamp. My dealer gets good surveys from me because I get good service, that's how it's supposed to be. I understand their end, and they understand mine and we have a good relationship thanks to that. Tell them that's what a dealer is supposed to be like.

I just got a call from the salesman that sold me the car. He was not there this morning when I took my car in. I think he was a bit disappointed that I made sure to hold on to my survey and asked me to make sure I bring it in this afternoon when I pick up my car. He said I can bring it in filled out and sealed but he just needs to make sure it is mailed from there. Sounds a bit fishy to me so I can't wait to see what he will say when I tell him I didn't bring it with me. The worst part is that they make it sound like common practice to have the customers bring in the survey so they can fill it out and send it in themselves. Sounds like they are scared of what I might put on there and they just keep making it worse...

The car must be perfectly clean when you put it on. This is to keep any sand/dirt form getting between and acting like sandpaper. Also do not want any moisture because it can cause the paint to milk up.
Installation was pretty simple. Hardware is minimal. You pop out 5 of the Philip head fasteners under the wheel well, put a metal clip over the hole that receives a snap head screw. One of the fasteners goes back in place. The rest of the connections or hooks in existing holes, velcro or flap inserts. It took me about 15 minutes to install the fasteners and about as long or longer to put the nose cover on. Reinstalling and Removing is a snap!
Quality and integrity of the nose mask if very good. Can't think of any improvements I'd make on it at this time.
I really like it a lot and I'm glad I purchased it. Cost approx. $125.

if you search on google (I won't do it for you) you can find a test where a guy used a pellet gun on some clearbra material, the pellet gouged the material but the paint underneath was intact, I believe it's good enough that it will prevent any rock small enough not to dent your car from chipping your paint.

I purchased mine at the Mazda dealer. They had it on display and it reached out and grabbed me and made me purchase it. Damn impulse purchasing! All said and done, I'm glad I did get it and can't wait to snap it on again because that means I will be tracking!
You can also order it from Mazda. It's in their accessories catalog.

Rosenthal Mazda in Virginia has the bras for around $100. I dunno how much shipping is though, as I bought enough other stuff to surpass the free shipping threshold.
