Nose Mask Installed
#78
Well, after last weekends Panoz Track Days at Road Atlanta, I've decided not to use my nose mask for tracking anymore. Seems the 124+ MPH doesn't work too well with this design of mask. The 3 flaps that tuck in on the top part of the grill came loose and the mask was beating the hell out of my nose. No damage or scratching but it caused the black flag station worker to look me over real close when I approached turn 9. I also got a black flag at CMP earlier in the year because it came loose. So, I'm retireing it to street duty only, like if I make a trip to Forida. Anyone else have this issue?

I've noticed that same thing. Annoying, and poor design IMO. I used racers tape last track day, but due to shoddy repair work by the previous owner, it removed a lot of the clear coat on the front bumper when I took it off. Trials and tribulations of track I guess...

Kind of overkill..but..have you considered putting the clear-bra on, THEN use the vinyl bra on top of that? It will reduce the damage (paint wear or scratches from sand, etc.) you will get on using the vinyl bra..clear-bra is great, but for tracking purposes, it won't last too long from the rocks...
