Odd Featured RX-8 Quote on Mazda USA Website

Does this strike anyone else as an odd quote for Mazda to be highlighting on their website?

"...overall, the RX-8 remains a brilliant, relatively lightweight four-seat chassis in search of class-competitive power and fuel economy." - Car and Driver 10/10

So what C/D is saying is that the handling is awesome, but the other stuff isn't. Kind of a strange thing for Mazda to be advertising, or am I mis-interpreting the quote?

yeah, ha ha, that does NOT sound like a positive quote. it's saying, it's lightweight but STILL in search of better power and fuel economy..............wtf would the quote that?!

I'm sure if anybody said anything nicer, it would be quoted.
But they didn't.

Mazda can only use what's out there.

Wow, that looks odd to me, as well.

I went ahead and called Mazda USA to see what they thought of it, and judging from how the representative reacted, it seemed as if it didn't make sense to her also. We'll see how they can correct it...
