Dialn24... everything looks like it was done as it was supposed to be. The distance to the edge of the trunk is spot on. It looks like the gap on the sides is just about perfect as well.
Back to your original concern, it is possible that it may just need tightened. There is a dark gray foam gasket between the trunk and the spoiler. If you're seeing too much of it, then it's possible that the gasket was set too close to the edge from the factory. They come installed and I've noticed on other parts of the aero package, they aren't always put on correctly.

heres an older crappy pic of what I decided to go with when the oem spoiler became too original for me. Its from a late model pontiac GTO. Found it on ebay but if you look around may find it at a junk yard. I've had alot of compliments from people after the conversion but its what i wanted to go with, anyways, I'm loaded with cold brews and I just needed to vent, Later guys....

I've seen something like that b4 ...

I hate pontiac but this actually does not look bad on Rx8

thanks Nycgps, by the way were the hell can I get one of those monster burgers you have in your AV,way too frigin big but Im friggin starved.....
