Oh my god... my 8 is making me do crazy things!

Like buying a Zaino wax kit for 90 bucks! I'm guessing to anyone that doesnt understand just how much we love our cars, spending 90 bucks on something like that would be insane.

LoL - The car I had before this was a 98 Saturn SL1, I've had my 8 for 3 months and LOVE it, nothing is too good for my baby and from what ive heard on the forum her Zaino is "the ****" so im going to give it a whirl. What ive been using was Mothers Car wax from walmart.... so go figure.

Am I the only one that feels uncomfortable and weird when there is even a fine layer of dust/dirt on their 8? Once a week washing is a minimum for me but sometimes it doenst feel like enough haha

Whats the most per week anyone has ever washed their car?

No, you're not. Before I got the 8, I rarely opened the tins of wax I collected, had never heard of Q-D, mf towels, or clay bar. My family thinks I'm nuts; wife says she's neglected; and I'm no where near as compulsive as a lot of folks on this forum.

Same here. Never knew the art of car washing before I got my 8, and now I'm washing it at least once a week. I just can't stand it being dirty. Now I'm loaded with microfiber towels, and just bought my Zaino stuff yesterday. I'm actually about to go do my last coat =).

Umm... I washed my 8 three times in one week.
No, you're not insane. You're amongst friends who completely understand the obsession with this car.
I finally got the MS body kit that I've wanted for two years. I installed the wing last night, and can hardly wait for the weekend to do the skirts and nose.
I'm dyin'!

so from the little ive read about zaino... if you take the hours and hours to apply the coats.... how "resistant" is it to having dirt cling to it? (i drive a black 8 so thats really a concern for me)

also -- after you do ALL That work zaino'ing it... and say a week later I wash it (just regular hand wash) would it still come out looking all spiffy without going thru 8 hours of polishing again?

Thanks!
Jeff

I thought I was crazy. When I took delivery of my Zaino kit, I virtually spent 18 hours to complete the job of polishing the car. I got up early to wash and next thing you know you are still awake past midnight. Eccentric???? Who cares! Even today my 8 still looks awesomely reflective.

Here are my normal routines:

Wash once a week with a safe high pressure cleaner to conserve water.
Clean all windows to get rid of film... if ever there was one .
Vaccuum my car once a week with a Dyson.
Clean the plastic interior with Meguiars Interior spray.

I also do this everytime I get in the car:

Wipe the dust inside with some microfibre cloth.
Get pissed off coz you see all the space dust that has settled on the car!

Start the engine, listen to it hum for 2 minutes and all that feeling of goes away.

You know what??? I am CRAZY!!!!
