80 in a 55...It isnt my first ticket..I have 2 pts on my license....Stupid cop just liked my car...there were 2 other cars driving just in fast in front of me..I consider myself going with traffic. ..The odd thing though is during the conversation he said somthing about the car having 250hp..I mentioned to him that Mazda offerd a rebate on the car cause the hp was mis-quoted..I then proceeded to tell him that it only has 238hp...and he was just like "Oh, maybe the Auto only has 238..but this ones got 250, I know all about Mazdas I drive a Mazda 6..) Gee..I wonder if he pulled me over just cause he likes Mazdas..

well you know what they say, ignorence is bliss. i tend to think that there are alot of cops out there who follow that ideal.

Fight the ticket in court and ask him to testify as to the h.p. rating of the RX-8. When he shows himself to be ignorant regarding the numbers argue that he is equally ignorant about reading radar guns. It's worth at least an try, don't ya think(haha)?

Yer busted; don't fight it. You got caught once, but how many other times did you deserve it and not get caught? I am six days short of a year owning this car and deserve prob 30 tix but got zero! Pure luck I guess. I will be traveling out of town all week in a rental car so I am assured of my first anniversary ticket-free (unless I get one on the way to church today!) bummer about your ticket.

Cant believe its coming up on a year already owning this car (first week in September for me) Its still soooo perfect, only thing that went wrong was a screw in my tire on a road trip! Been like '8 Wannabe' with the ticket. Though I think everytime I drive it, I deserve a ticket at some point in the trip (at least to the letter of the law)...

I had a 2001 eclipse i would speed take corners but i was careful ( I drove like my mom)

My first ticket i got is for going 90 in 75 which i was only going 80 it was on cruise controll. Well i won that no points

My 2nd ticket i made a right turn out of my complex while the light was red i stopped then let go of teh brake so i rolled like 6 inches and tehn put it in gear and drove off. The cop pulls me over 10 min later while i was pumping my gas . Well the cop said my car was a 2 door ( funny i could have sworrn it was 4 doors)= no points they through teh ticket away for false infomation

My third ticket i was on la solas in ft lauderdale i was in the left lane teh ligght turned solid green and the guy on teh other side of teh raod let me go he flashed his high beams so i turned. A cop pulled me over for an ilegal left turn. Well no points here they trhough the ticket away, because last time i checked my car was registered in NJ and i have a NJ drivers ID not NYC= no points

MY fourth ticket i have blue lights on my corners well i had to pay a whopping 47 dollars.= payed 47.00

My 5th ticket Didnt yeild going on to a highway at 4:00 am well this was my fault, but the funny thing is i went through the yeild and there was a cop there and he had a orange patton to tell me to get over well i went over a lane and kept going becuase there was a car on teh side of the road ( thought there was an accident or somthing) well i keep driving i am going baout 75 mph on 75 well i look in my rear view mirror and see 2 cop cars and pulled over i was so lucky i explained to them taht i thought they were telling me to get over a lane LOL they let me go with only going through the yield which i am very lucky since they could have put running from a cop. = well i ididnt get any points at all nor a fine tehy spelled my whole name wrong and my address so they had to through away the ticket.

Ok im done no more tickets by the way 4 of thease tickest i got in less than a month.

Does anyone think that certain colors get pulled over more due to standing out and getting the attention of cops easier? Like say yellow and red stand out more than blue or titanium? I wouldn't be surprised if it was the case. I chose titanium, but not for this reason, lol.

Nah... the car alone stands out enough! Especially since its so unique and there not that many of them out there yet. The base MPs stop me at the gate just so they can look inside the thing! 10 months ago, they didnt even know what kind of car it was!
