Oil Catch Can?

Hey everyone. I just ordered the greddy turbo and several things with it. one of the things was the greddy oil pan. I was wondering if the oil cath can is still needed, or if this different oil pan is fine? Thanks, all input helps.

the oil catch can picks up the oil vapors from the pcv. ultimately, it keeps oil from shooting back into the turbo, which could eventually damage the turbo.

My understanding was that the main purpose of an oil catch can was to pick up the oil vapours to prevent them from coating the interiour of the intercooler. Over time this will severely reduce the effectiveness of the intercooler.

that would happen too, since the intercooler is after the turbo.

you dont have to spend the cash on the greddy can, there are lots of after market ones that do a fine job, and might be cheaper.

I would just stay away from the ebay generic stuff, cause of material/build quality concerns.
