oil system description?
can someone describe to me in some detail the oil system in a rotary engine (as in what turns in what, what gets lubed and how)? I've tried looking on the net and haven't found anything

Oil try.....
Oil pump sends it thru the passenger side oil cooler, then over to the drivers side cooler, up top to the filter where the pressure gets measured, then into the excentric shaft bearings and back to the pan.
The sides of the rotors get some, the inside of each rotor gets its own flow, and a tiny bit is pumped by a computer regulated pump into the actual rotor housing to lubricate the seal between housing and rotor. This flow is not recovered, it burns with the fuel.
System holds about 8 litres, but only about 4 come out with each oil change, the rest is in the cooler/filter system.
