Good god that hood is hideous. I'd work on getting a new exhaust next so you can make it sound as retarded as it looks.

And if I were you, I'd work on climbing to the highest cliff asap as to ensure when I jumped off that cliff I'd have no chance of survival. Then the world could throw a party.

I love when people talk smack yet have no pictures and a total of 4 posts. Good job there Veight.

Anyway, a year later, and hours of studying these forums and DIY topics, I am trying to decide what to do next. I am not really interested in anything that really is made for performance purposes yet, like a turbo or anything, but more in terms of looks/sound. Here's what I've done to my 8 so far:

- Clear corners with stealth bulbs
- Chrome fender strakes
- Chrome rotary accent pieces in front and rear bumpers
- Seibon TS CF hood
- Authentic Mazdaspeed Spoiler
- 30% tint all around and strip across top of windshield
- Audiolink installed

Everything else is stock. Its a 2006 with the Touring package and its an automatic (I know, I know, shhh, I had a fiance at the time and I wanted her to be able to drive it... woops)

Anyway, I also posted some pics of what she looks like, and just curious as to what you guys would do next if it were yours.
Respray the whole thing a colour a sportscar should be. (not dull grey or silver! )

Such a beautiful 8 man!

I just got mine about a month ago and had a couple of questions for you.

I love the look of the Mazdaspeed Spoiler. Been thinking of getting one to add myself. How much was it and where did you get it from if you don't mind me asking?

Also noticed you added the fender strakes? Did you buy them from the dealership? I've seen the ones they sell on ebay but have been wondering how good they actually are.

The fender strakes are Aluminum I think, and the salt from winter destroyed them pretty bad, so I am gonna be smart and buy actual chrome strakes soon.

The Mazdaspeed spoiler I bought from Rosenthal Mazda (www.finishlineperformance.com). My local dealer painted and installed it for $250. Everything else I did myself.

Hey man, thanks for showing me that site! Dealership wants double that for the same thing.

dmc27 pointed me to http://rx8-accessories.com/ for some stainless steel strakes that I'm going to look at. We can get some pretty harsh winters out here, so they hopefully will hold up to it.

clear corners are a must on this site. it was my first mod because of this site.

i think you could go for a nice front bumper and some sideskirts, i have the Mazdaspeed ones and i really like it because it compliments the car without going over the top. also you can install the front bumper in your driveway with hand tools.

I don't need pictures. My car looks like an RX-8. Not a Fast and Furious 4 reject.

exhaust

body kit

You got a nice 8 man.

And +1 for Gameguy. FYI Veight, people can mod 8s without it looking like a bowl of rice. You're really out of line saying what you did. There's nothing wrong with the car.

Props to OP.

Talking "Do what you will, damn the rest"

I have a brand spankin new 08 GT RX8 red with red&black leather interior, my friends either hate it or love it, who %$#@&*% cares! I'm going to upgrade with what I think looks good to me. Build that car with what you want, make it an extention of you and the dream you have of what you want to drive. Get opinions on who's less expensive or where to pick up a hard to find part, but above all stay true to yourself. Build the car that's going to make you proud when you're driving it and you can't go wrong! The rx8 is already a one of a kind in performance and looks!

Good luck!
