If the dealer is going to program the key for free, then great. Don't let them charge you for that. Instead look here.

The new fancy 06 keys run $600. Pretty soon these keys are going to require a downpayment.

I dont know if they're true or not... but I've heard some absolute horrible prices for the Mercedes SMARTKEYS.... HIGHER THAN WHAT THE RX8'S ARE!

I was shocked when they told me my new transmitter keys cost over $600 each!! I certainly don't want to be misplacing one of those anywhere!

I paid ~$95 to get mine programmed. There's no other option if you don't have two keys that can start the car. Mazda dealers suck. Period.

Wow, didn't know they were that expensive. I'll make sure to never replace mine!

Just got back from the dealer....they charged me $235.00 approximately which included $19.95 to program the new key....
I wont loose another key....thats for sure..
while I was there I took a walk around the showroom...they had an 06 on the floor in the new blue color....I think it was called phantom blue...all other previous colors are availble...the new shinka is copper red..
