Which one should I get?

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and just about to pull the trigger on my first RX8 purchase in the next day or two. My question is, which one out of the two options below should I go for?

Mazda RX8 TOURING **HIGH SPEC** Petrol 2007 Saloon for sale in Dublin 3 €7,950

or

Mazda RX8 RX-8 SPORT 231PS Petrol 2007 Saloon for sale €8,450

Any information on comparable specs, fuel consumption, insurance and tax, speed/power, likely problems/faults, potential recalls, value for money etc would be greatly appreciated.

The first one (black) just had the clutch repaired last week, it struck me as somewhat strange that a 5 year old car needed the clutch done?

These were the two that caught my eye but if you see another one on that site that seems like a better option, please do let me know!

I'm aware of the power difference between the two, would prefer the 229 BHP but not totally hung up on it as I'm coming from a 105BHP car so either will be a big step up...unless you think I MUST go for the high-power model?

I hear of alloys rusting, screeching breaks, overheating, factory recalls etc on some models, will I have any problems with either of these two cars as far as you can see? Also, slightly concerned about 60k miles on the black one, am I buying into trouble?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks guys,

Freddie

P.s. I sort of prefer the black one as it seems to have quite a high spec, I like the black leather interior and indeed the black colour!

First Link still broken. Take you to a search for alfa romeos. I would buy the one with the least amount of miles and the cheapest

Get whichever one has the better compression scores.

Yes, I am being 100% serious. Read the first 9 posts in my new owner's thread if you don't believe the importance of getting these compression scores. One of the sections talks about how to get compression scores before you buy.

Get whatever you want. I understand why you need some opinions. Just read what RIWWP wrote. Good luck whichever you decide to choose.
