I hope you go through with it. Would be nice to see someone make some big numbers in an RX-8 after years of following turbo kits that never really delivered. It must be doubley frustrating when you actually own an RX-8 and want big horsepower It may not seem like it but I'd love it if there was an RX-8 to ooo and ahhh about, but this car is not that. It's an overdone showcar that probably would struggle to run a 13 second 1/4 mile.

Like Paul and I originally said, you can't poke at power numbers because the car was sold with a blown motor, so who the hell knows what it has in it now? Hell, it could have a meth-injected, twin-turbo 3-rotor race engine pushing 1000 rwhp, who knows (although I doubt that's unlikely....)

I'm sorry, but I find it hard to believe that is happening and people here don't know about it. Maybe I've missed something from other sections of the forum??? Until someone does it, what the Rensis is capable of is pure speculation. Plus, 400+whp is a far cry from 700whp.
I've been quite fortunate to be let into that world, and it literally changed my perception about what is possible and what's not. It's hard to explain, I'm both inside the 'forum' box and outside it at the same time.

But then again, who knows. I might just be the guy to do it. I know what's coming up and I won't be afraid to go through 10 motors getting there.

There and Puerto Rico are the trend setters in rotary tuning, and they don't give **** about what the outside world thinks.

I do have to agree with boostd7 just because there aren't guys posting on this site stating that they have over 400 doesn't mean that they don't exsist. I live on the west coast of florida and when i was in miami I saw a few turbo'd 8s and they weren't greddy kits and difinatly not mazsport cars either and they where quick, i mean really quick. far faster than my 8 and i'm close to 300whp.

hey whats up,
I thought you guys might like to see these pictures.......
I took these picture a couple years ago at SEMA September 2005 in Las Vegas. Then a while back I remember seeing a car that looked just like this car in the for sale section (FS: Black HKS Turbo RX8) but it was black and had a different turbo setup and i was like these two cars look really familiar and they both have the same interior. So it looks like who ever owned this car put a lot of work into it and it's changed quite a bit. I like it better in black the way it is now, and I'm sure who ever owns it now is very happy, this car is sick.
