My dealer told me that only 2,000 rx-8's included a navigation system, is that the dilly? Looking into getting a brand new 8 - can't live without my navi...

 

if you want navi then tell them get me one with navi, as that is only 2,000 included navi i dont think so. just asked them to get you one with navi and if they cant just go somewhere else.

 

are your sure they said 2000 rx8s have nav? are you sure thats what they meant? could they possibly have said $2000 more for an 8 with nav? cuz thats supposedly the cost for a nav in the 8, 2000.

They ar not hard to find. He might just want you to pay more.

 

Some dealers don't know their heads from their tales. How did he come up with a figure like that? He may as well have said, "Mazda has made a limited run of 500 RX8's with all wheel drive offered in hot pink over yellow leather." Some people have noooooo clue.

 

I don't think so. You can order the nav system from Mazda, which implies that when the build it, they put it in. These days, factory installed options are customer driven, not limited edition events.

Yeesh, the things some dealers will say to make money.

 

ask him to show you the break downs. no one collects that data at Mazda. they cant even tell you the number of ATs vs MTs. they just dont collect the data.

 

yet another example of misinformation salesmen will use for their own gain. I dont think anyone knows that number except maybe some production manager in Japan.

I will say this. When my first 05 w/ nav got destroyed, I had to search hi and lo to find its clone. Had to increase my search radius by 700 miles! Found it though.

Also, nav is usually the last option added to the rx-8 which means if a car has nav, it is usually fully loaded with other suff you may or may not want (i.e. appearance pkg, spoiler, 6 CD player..etc.)

 

yea, you should really ask him where he got his figures. better yet, ask him how many came with sports, touring, and GT, f the numbers are 1300s, 2900s, and 4200s respectively, then you know you have a dealer on your hands whos talkin outta his ***.
