Angry OUCH!!! YOU brock my KNOSE!!!

To day I come to work dressed in black, yesterday I was injoing my drive home when all of sudden it happend, some dumb red neck threw is F-150 write out in front of me. Did my best to stop in time but no luck I slammed in to the back of him The only good news is all that was realy hurt on my RX-8 was the front nose clip, it broke in to many peices and the fog light on the left side was killed. So know come the fun part of fixing it. I have had the Mazda Speed nose clip on my wish list for some time know, The only problem is getting my hands on one, this would allso help out with broken fog light. Does any one know were I can finde one? if there even available. Any help would be great.

Ugh- I can't even tell you how many times I've almost had that happen to me. People just don't know how to drive! I wish we had a system more like Canada's or the one of the European countries.

Did the guy get charged, I hope? Or did he at least get a ticket?

Unfortunately, I don't know much about the Mazdaspeed kits, so I have no idea where you'd get one right now.

Will I just received the repair etimate from a Mazda dealer in my area $1400.00 dollars in repairs are needed. I gess thats not to bad. From what they tell me they will have all my parts in 1 to 2 weeks hell I'm just happy they found what I needed and they sware that it will look like new when there done As for the Mazda Speed bumper I thank I'm going to stay with the OEM do to the fact I can not locate one, Rotary Exteme will offer there fiber glass virsion in two weeks but I'm not to crazy about fiber glass "cracks to easy" So with a little luck my 8 will be looking great again soon

PS. Sorry about your 8 brownchiro I know the feeling and it does SUCK !!!

Because I am waiting for this to settle, I do not want to be too specific. A vehicle came to be in my line of travel. Car worked and felt great; stopped (slowed) very straight and quickly, no squeeling tires; there was no time to come to a complete stop. No air bags; thank goodness. I asked Mazda if we had to be at a certain speed before the air bags release, but they are sending me a brouchure. I think the impact was more left front than front; as the photo shows, keeping the air bags in place. Speed was not very high because slowing for stop and then turn. No apparent broken glass on my car. Dry conditions. Body sore (mine). Body shop says maybe one month if they get the parts and paint; I guess I will double this time estimate so maybe I will have it back by Christmas. I am not able to drive my car while I wait for the parts to arrive.

Glad to see George Best is getting his fixed quickly.

OH GOD
why'd you post that pic????
That's going to give me nightmares, that's just so horrible...
beautiful yellow too..

anyway that's typical of an f-150 driver (grrr ford!)
I've narrowly avoided people doing that thankfully in my Camaro so hopefully in my 8 I will too. Worst time was when I was in the left lane and a few hundred feet ahead of me in the right lane was a large RV... all of a sudden some small compact changes lanes into my lane and stops. JUST STOPS.......... he had to turn... geez what an idiot.

anyway I hope you got your money from the f150 driver. tell me you got him right?

I know this is an old thread, but here is my car torn down. They are still waiting for the fuse box and radiator overflow before moving on.

This is an old thread which makes this more relevant. Vehicle pulled in front of me on 9-30-03. Did $10,600 damage. I just received it back today. 9 1/2 weeks after the accident waiting for parts. Drove my car 11 weeks, went 9 1/2 weeks without it; talk about withdrawal!!!! First thing I did after I got it home was to put on the Borla exhaust. I have the clear bra to put on, but the repair shop said I have to wait 90 days after the new paint to put it on. Glad to have it back in the garage.:p :p :p

Nice job - aside from the hack and slash pics from before you'd never know anything had happened to it.
