Talking Owner of white RX-8 thought my yellow was a special addition

I was at a long light today and I thought I heard someone repeatedly honking near me. I look to my right and there's this 30ish guy in a white RX-8. He put down his window and made gestures for me to put mine down and he screamed to me..

"Wow it's really nice! I've never seen that color! Is that some new special addition they just released or a custom paint job?"

I stopped myself from cracking up and yelled back to him "First come first serve."

He said "What?" And at that point the light had already turned green and I got honked at so I pointed at the green light and started driving away.

I probably would have been friendlier if he had bothered to clean his Pearl White paint. It was dirty as hell and didn't catch my eye.

Heh ... he probably didn't know that yellow is a first-year only paint job (or a special edition). Heck, I didn't know that until I did some reading on Mazdas.

Now that I think about it, I kinda want another 8 .. yellow one that is. Anybody want to sell me their yellow 8?

Basically I had no choice with the color when I swapped from the titanium automatic to the yellow manual because the only left over 04 RX-8 I could find in a 20 mile radius was this yellow RX-8...oddly enough. After realizing how rare and flashy the yellow was...this made it even sweeter.

But as flashy as the yellow may be...I still think nothing beats a freshly waxed Titanium Gray...which is something I really miss at times.
