I've always had good luck with a product called Foliatec. It's a 2-part mixture that paints on with a brush with relative ease, and when it dries almost has more of a powder-coated look/feel than paint. You can usually find it online for <$50.

If you search in DIY for "calipers" it's the third thread shown.

The search function can be temperamental sometimes.

True, plus with this board being around almost four years doing a simple search on the whole board will return too many non-related posts. If you have a good idea which sub-forum the post might be in, do a search within that specifc forum.

Hey, How much would you charge me if I asked you to paint my calipers for me?

It is a pretty easy process. I did the brakes on my RS2000 not too long ago.

I used regular spray paint with an acrylic coat, but you probably should use specific paint for it. So far it hasn't come off, but I'm sure it's a matter of time.

Anyways, all you have to do is unbolt the caliper from the frame, prep it with a wire brush, get all the dirt and stuff off. Then get some primer and put a couple of coats on. After that dries (primer seems to dry pretty quickly), put the red paint on. I did three or four coats. That way it has a good amount on there. After that, do the acrylic. I did about 5 coats of that, since it is the protection. The brakes look pretty good after that.

Just make sure you cover any of the friction surfaces (pads and rotors) because they will stink otherwise.
