Painting Urethane MS Kit

So is the bottom black part of the MS kit just left as raw urethane, or does it get coated with clear-coat or something?

My MS kit is badly damaged and considering buying the urethane KDB kit to replace it. Just want to be sure about that lower black part...

Thanks,
Mark

I think he means the two aero fins on the MS kit. Dunno if replicas have them.

the replicas have them.

in my opinion, you dont really have to clear them if you dont want to make them glossy. your really not going to protect anything since there is no paint on it.

Hmmmm...i'm thinking about maybe having the lower aero part painted in gunmetal...also wondering how the kit would look all body color...been trying to find a photo with the entire kit body color but no luck.
