Parking Tip
Just thought I'd pass along this tip that I tried and that's been working quite well the last two weeks. I park in the university garage and my 8 (rear passenger side door) already got a tiny ding from some other cars door. Anyhow, I was quite pissed so I decided that I would "reserve" one of the few spots that is wall enclosed and where no other cars can park near my 8. So I took a large pylon and placed it by the spot. Now, everyone passing by is too worried that they might get a ticket or towed if they park there. Little do they know that I placed it there. Well, it's worked for two weeks so my 8 is now safe and happy!

Gee, you'd think some maintenance manager, university police or someone would have gotten it by two weeks. Well, it just goes to show...

I try to prevent dings or scratches to my car as much as possible by just parking on the edge. So lets say a normal parking spot would have 1 car on each side of your car. If you can find a spot where it is the last one or against a wall, there is usually a bigger space for you to park. I would park my car way agaist the way so it would leave a big gap between my car and anyone else that wants to park next to me.

I use my friend’s cars as bodyguards for my car. :p
I have the BMW on the right
and the Mercedes on the left of me
and I all ways cover my car. Besides the fact that my car is red so it will fade other wise and covering the car keeps it cleaner. If its covered and some ones door hits mine, it might dent the door but it will probably not chip the paint, so that’s good.

When I go to one of my favorite mall. I usually have 3 parking spot pick out . And they are all parking spot with white strips next to it. which mean no one can park there, so my baby has alot of space to hereself. And if those are all taken I look for the a parking spot that are very huge. like for suv or i just park far away. I guess I'm a little crazy when it come to getting door dings.

Another little tip: if you must park in a parking lot, pick a spot where your car is pointing into the wind (if any). Better to have the wind blow the doors closed on adjacent cars rather than blow them open

Yup, I park as far in the distance as I can. My mom also got a new car. She got an Lexus is300. We always park far away together, and she ends up getting hit by some one other than me. Do any of you feel like people try to park next to you to get on your nerves.
