Another little trick I employ when the parking lots are filling up is to drive around a bit and pull in next to the nicest car I can find. You know, Porches, BMW's, etc.

There are many times that I just leave mine at home and we take one of our other 2 cars. We just don't want to be all worried about it and my wife has a problem with walking all the way across the parking lot.

Heh - I also have my set of parking rules: Park all the way to one side in a side spot so that only one car can park next to you and it has extra room. I also avoid parking next to old, beat up looking cars or anything that looks like it could have kids in it. I also avoid parking next to a handicap spot. If I can't find a corner I just park as far in the back of the lot as I can and just walk it. Also, I NEVER parallel park!
