Another little trick I employ when the parking lots are filling up is to drive around a bit and pull in next to the nicest car I can find. You know, Porches, BMW's, etc.

Parking is such a judgement call. I survey the lot. If nothing is to my liking, I just leave. I have done that more times than I can count.:D

There are many times that I just leave mine at home and we take one of our other 2 cars. We just don't want to be all worried about it and my wife has a problem with walking all the way across the parking lot.

Smile Funny parking story

I had to visit a friend in the hospital one time and i parked next to some construction, took the extra pylons (cones) and placed them on either side of my 8 kind of made it part of the construction site LOL and my friends and family thing iam nuts, but hey its my 8 right . Good luck parking to all my fellow 8 owners and if anymore tips post em. Later......

Heh - I also have my set of parking rules: Park all the way to one side in a side spot so that only one car can park next to you and it has extra room. I also avoid parking next to old, beat up looking cars or anything that looks like it could have kids in it. I also avoid parking next to a handicap spot. If I can't find a corner I just park as far in the back of the lot as I can and just walk it. Also, I NEVER parallel park!

I always park far in the back. At the mall I park at the back under the big spot light things. Poles?
